Astronauts in space

I heard all of this in radiolab podcast “Dark side of earth”. You should listen to it sometimes.

In the space, the contrast between darkness and light is so extreme that when you are in the shadow of a wing, the shadow is darker and more black than anything else you can imagine. It is so black, in fact, that your arm can literally disappear right in front of your face.
